Stages productions has once again assembled a top-flight cast, as they prepare to unveil another comedy, this Friday, April 16. The Plumber, written and directed by Paul O. Beale, features Andrea ‘Delcita’ Wright along with seasoned comedians Garfield ‘Bad Boy Trevor’ Reid, Michael ‘Stringbeans’ Nicholson, Donald Thompson and Everaldo Creary. The talented Belinda Reid and Trudy Bell complete the ensemble.

After 20 years in the police force, crime-fighting is beginning to take its toll on Detective Jones (Garfield Reid), and by extension on his marriage. His wife Janet (Belinda Reid) is as frustrated with his lack of attention both inside and outside the bedroom and, as John continues to fail to stand-up to his responsibilities, she seeks solace in an old flame Andre (Michael Nicholson). This is, however, more than a love triangle, as Andre is now married to Janet’s only child, Cindy (Trudy Bell).

Matters become even more complicated when John invites his son Stamma (Everaldo Creary) up from the country to live with him, and he takes along his sweetheart Delcita (Andrea Wright). As the story twists and turns, Delcita always finds herself in the middle, creating more pressure on the Joneses as they struggle to keep their marriage afloat.

The Plumber will play at the Green Gables Theatre (6 Cargill Avenue) in Kingston. Showtimes are Wednesday to Saturday at 8:30 p.m., and on Sundays at 5 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
