Louis Marriott’s classic one-man show – “Over The Years” – is back. This updated version of Marriott’s 1980s hit, plays at the Theatre Place on Haining Road in New Kingston on Thursday, May 20 and Friday, May 21 at 8 p.m.
The actor/writer, who first appeared on stage at the age of two (in early 1938), will perform “Over The Years” to mark his 75th birthday. The show features 22 items, including poems, skits, short stories, excerpts from plays, songs, and a radio programme, all of which were authored by Marriott. The music was composed by Grub Cooper and recorded by Fab 5′s keyboard artist and synthesist, Sidney Thorpe.
