Jamaican Plays

June 10, 1965 – Jamaica is one of three countries selected to have theatre exclusively for their performances in the first Commonwealth Arts Festival being held in Britain. Of the 19 Commonwealth countries taking part in the festival, only Jamaica, Australia and Canada have been accorded the privilege.
