A little Jamaican girl grows up with dreams of visiting a Magic Kingdom – America. When she becomes a young woman, her life becomes a crazy, fast-paced romp when she meets a handsome young visitor from the US who falls madly in love with her. ‘Jamaica Farewell’ is a story that weaves together laughs, tears, kisses and deception accelerates into an exciting true life adventure that plays itself out during turbulent times in Jamaica.
‘Jamaica, Farewell’ is a one woman play based on the story of a woman’s journey from Jamaica to America during the Manley Era (1970s). She wrote it because it encapsulates one of the most adventurous, defining moments of her life.
