The Bashment Granny play has been a phenomenal success, so much so that a movie spin-off is in the works. Angel, Shebada, Mr Bashment, Half-a-Dog and the rest of the gang will all be featured in the Bashment Granny movie, which should be in cinemas by the end of 2009. In addition to all the regular actors/characters in the play, the Bashment Granny movie will feature a number of new faces including the comedic duo Apache Chief and Sarge, Trudy Bell, Donald Thompson and Patrick Smith.
The script for the movie was, of course, adapted from the script for the play, so those who have seen the play will definitely recognize the plot. The additional characters are said to give the movie a little ‘pep’, and the expected final run-time for the movie is somewhere in the region of one and a half hours.
