August 10, 1980 – Ranny Williams passes away
Randolph Williams (more popularly known as Ranny Williams), one of Jamaica’s most famous entertainers, dies from a heart attack in the Toronto East General Hospital in Canada. He reportedly shouts characteristically from his deathbed saying “the show must go on!”
